Ingredients and Their Benefits

Ground Almonds (Almond Flour)

Almonds are a powerhouse of nutrients. They are an excellent source of:

  • Healthy Fats
Almonds contain monounsaturated fats that are heart-healthy and help in maintaining cholesterol levels.
  • Protein
A handful of almonds can provide a good amount of plant-based protein.
  • Fibre
Helps in digestion and keeps you feeling full for longer.
  • Vitamin E
An antioxidant that helps protect your cells from oxidative damage.
  • Magnesium
Essential for muscle and nerve function, as well as blood sugar control.

Tahini

Tahini, made from ground sesame seeds, is a staple in many Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisines. It offers:

  • Healthy Fats
Like almonds, tahini is rich in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats.
  • Protein
A valuable source of plant-based protein.
  • Calcium
    Important for bone health.
  • Iron
Essential for blood production and energy levels.
  • Phytosterols
Compounds that can help lower cholesterol levels.

Honey

Honey is more than just a natural sweetener. It provides:

  • Antioxidants
Compounds that help reduce oxidative stress in the body.
  • Antibacterial Properties
Honey has natural antibacterial qualities that can boost your immune system.
  • Natural Sweetness
A healthier alternative to refined sugar, providing a touch of sweetness without the high glycaemic index.
